But the second fundamental source on Hitler's origins comes from Walter Langer.Walter Charles Langer (1899-1981) was not just anybody. He was a professor at Harvard University, but above all, he was in charge of a report entitled "A Profile of Adolph Hitler Psychologial His Life and Legend" on the psychological profile of Hitler for the "Office of Strategic Services "based in Washington.
Even more surprising, his elder brother William was head of the history department at Harvard University, and especially at the head of the Analysis and Research Section of the American Office of Strategic Services (OSS).
His brother had therefore access to all the most secret documents of the time. We can therefore assume that communicated the file Koehler to his brother who was to conduct the OSS psychological profile.
